At Artisan Framing, we work with professional artists, galleries and collectors to create bespoke framing that complements the artwork, meets exhibition requirements and is delivered when you need it.
From a single commission to an entire exhibition, we manage the process from initial consultation and frame design through to finishing, glazing (if needed), collection and delivery.

COMPLETE EXHIBITION
From frame design to glazing and final presentation, the underlying project genuinely supports those numbers. The large works used bespoke tray frames with gesso, clay bole and an aged bronze finish, while the smaller works used bespoke combination framing and walnut-stained oak. All were finished with anti-reflective/UV glazing.

MORE THAN A MOULDINGS CATALOGUE
We don’t believe bespoke framing should mean choosing a moulding from a catalogue and putting it around an artwork.
All the frames we create begin with a carefully selected bare wood profile and are then developed and finished specifically for the artwork.
Our in-house finishing capabilities allow us to create colours, textures, patinas and decorative effects that aren’t available from standard mass-produced mouldings.
The result is a frame designed specifically for the artwork - not simply a frame selected from a shelf.

2 - FRAME DESIGN
We consider profile, proportions, finish, mount, glazing and how the complete collection will work together.
3 - CRAFT
Frames are made and finished by our team in Dorset.
4 - QUALITY CHECK
Every finished piece is checked before leaving the workshop.
5 - COLLECTION/DELIVERY
Artwork can be collected from London, or elsewhere int the UK, and returned professionally packaged and ready for exhibition or installation.
6 - EXHIBITION READY
Your work arrives framed, finished and ready to hang.

Our workshop is based near Shaftesbury in Dorset, but we regularly collect and deliver artwork throughout London.
This gives artists and galleries the benefit of a specialist Dorset workshop without having to arrange the logistics themselves.
