Artisan Framing Limited was born out of the closure of Pictureframes of Shaftesbury in July 2025. We found great premises, managed to source equipment and opened our doors for business on Monday, 4th August 2025.

London galleries and local, national, & international artists were keen to keep the service going so Gary Young, the former manager and main frame maker at Pictureframes of Shaftesbury, took the leap and set up his own company. With Chloe, his partner, joining to keep him on the straight and narrow, it’s a real family business.

Chloe will be working with Gary to create a range of specialist frame finishes based on her experience of working with her late mother, Jocasta Innes, the acclaimed Interior Designer and paint finish specialist. Our aim is to offer a range you will be hard pressed to find from any other framing company.

Also a key part of the team is Darryl who looks after all the hand-finishing for our work. He also previously worked at PictureFrames of Shaftesbury and has years of experience in creating high-end hand-finishing across a wide range of work.

With a raft of experience in servicing the framing needs of high end galleries and nationally and internationally acclaimed artists you can expect the same top notch service and high quality frames.
